The Horrors of Traverse City State Asylum

100 years of service to the mentally ill, the Traverse City State Asylum was home to over 50,000 pateints and 20,000 nurses. It was highly acclaimed for it's unique treatment of patients, and didn't believe in horrific forms of treatment...but that all changed. This location is now home to retail stores, restaurants, housing and so much more. It's become a popular hotspot for paranormal investigators, after it was discovered that discharged patients attempted to break back in, being that they enjoyed their time there. Tune in as I discuss the history of this infamous landmark, stories of the hauntings behind closed doors, broken walls and the "Hippy Tree" that still attracts people from across the country.
