After working remotely in over 40 countries and witnessing the unstoppable rise of flexible work, Juan saw an opportunity to utilize remote work as a means to revitalize rural areas and improve work-life balance. He co-founded Rooral, a social venture that partners with small villages at risk of depopulation to create enriching and restorative remote work experiences. Rooral serves as a bridge between the urban and rural worlds, with a special emphasis on building community. In the past, success was often associated with leaving one's village behind.
