Ep. #42 ~ Racism In Canada: The LGBTQ2S+ W/ Pam Rocker
Welcome to today’s episode of The Inception Of Wonder Podcast. I’m Erik Freiburger. Over the past month I’ve had several conversations into Racism & Prejudice here in Canada. This past week I had the opportunity to sit with Pam Rocker & talk about the LGBTQ2S+ community & their struggles with prejudice & the right to be recognized as equals here in our country. It was not intentional, but ironically our conversation happened to take place on the Monday of the August long weekend where it would be reported that three separate incidents of prejudice hate crimes took place against the LGBTQ2S+ community here in the Calgary area. This seemed to strengthen the very reality that we need to take these conversations very seriously & recognize the need for social justice & transformation within our society today while recognizing the rights for equality & dignity to all marginalized people.
