Rooting into Your Creative Power with Actress Bonnie Piesse
Actress and singer Bonnie Piesse is no stranger to creative growth and evolution. She first got into the acting business when, at 15, she was scouted by George Lucas to play a young Beru Lars in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. As she started to gain traction in her acting and music career, she felt this calling for something more. That something "more" led her to discover the world of self-development and improvement. Before she knew it, she found herself on a decade-plus-long path inside and out of the self-described American multi-level marketing company and cult NXIVM. If you have seen the award-winning documentary The Vow on HBO Max, you are very aware of the story of NXIVM and its founder. I first met Bonnie when she reached out to me a few years ago letting me know how much this podcast meant to her during some of her darkest moments of facing the public eye and media during her very traumatic experience with NXIVM. It was so incredible and powerful to see firsthand how our work can impact others. But - this story isn't about NXIVM...or cults... it is so much more. During today's deep and meaningful conversation, Bonnie shares her very personal experience of finding and losing herself through her discovery of worthiness, and how reclaiming her own creative power now only saved her from a cult leader, but also gave her a newfound purpose in the deeper work she is called to do. This is a beautiful and very powerful conversation about self-worth, the power of influence, purpose, vision, and why it is important to always fight for your own personal creative courage.
