"The Jazz Hole’s main focus today is the brilliant NYC native pianist and composer Ray Gallon, who just released his wonderful debut recording “Make Your Move” on Cellar Live featuring David Wong and Kenny Washington. Gallon has been on the scene for more than three decades, playing with top jazz artists in studios and stages all over the world. During this episode, Ray talks about his music, his sidemen, his influences and mentors and also about why it took a bit longer to release his first album as a leader. In 2009 Linus Wyrsch joined the team of DJs at BTR and took over the bi-weekly jazz show,The Jazz Hole. Being a sought-after clarinetist and saxophonist, himself, in the Big Apple, Linus embraces a unique relationship with the jazz genre and its musicians, consequently providing the listeners with a backstage pass to the New York jazz scene. The hour-long show features the music of new talents from inside and outside of the New York circuit, and every once in a while, Linus is able to sneak in a major jazz artist, sometimes accompanied with a short interview.
