He’s known for roles in The Jesse Owens Story, 7th Heaven, Roots: The Next Generations, and Full Metal Jacket. Harewood has recorded two solo albums: “Love Will Stop Calling” (1988) and “Have A Little” (2001). He’s toured with The Four Tops and Gladys Knight. His Broadway return in The Notebook earned him a 2024 Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for his portrayal of Older Noah.
