73. Here’s what balance has looked like for me lately

I went on a trip to San Francisco, but… …anxiety ALMOST took over my decisions. As moms, we know we are the best persons to take care of our children. But we also know that we can only be the best versions of ourselves if we put our needs first. As much as we want to give our kids all of our time and attention, there are certain moments when we need to pause and think, “Am I the ONLY ONE who can do this right now?”  I had one of these moments, just when I was about to go on my spring break trip to San Francisco. But I’m so glad that I didn’t let the external pressures decide for me and that I had my village to lean on for support. I’m in a much better space now, and I hope this resonates with you, too.
