The Trump Administration’s policy to focus on white-Afrikaners by offering them refugee status in the United States, now supported by a bill just introduced into Congress, falls into the same trap as the ANC does—understanding South Africa as a conflict between black and white. But black farmers do too. In fact, black South Africans suffer most from the government’s failures – from land expropriation without title, to stock theft, to failing services.
