32: Blake Mitchell: Cozumel, Mexico
Blake Mitchell, a 30-year-old from Oklahoma, moved to Cozumel, Mexico, to attend classes and earn his diving instructor certification. For about a year, he had been traveling back and forth to Cozumel with his dog Sophie. However, on March 13, 2019, he disappeared. On the day of his disappearance, Blake texted his brother saying he had a toothache and wouldn’t be diving. When the messages suddenly stopped, his family grew concerned. They contacted the diving center, which informed them that Blake was missing and had left behind his cellphone, backpack, motorcycle, and dog Sophie.
