Cath Wallis

At 40, Cath Wallis realised she had no hobbies – having focussed entirely on her career and family - and decided to carve out time for herself by signing up for a 100km trek, after only walking as far as 5km around her local lake. As you do. Now 45, Cath has completed seven ultra-marathons, trekked across frozen Mongolian lakes, sand dunes in the Gobi Desert, and even swum from Europe to Asia. More importantly, she’s helping break barriers around endurance events being only suited to young and/or athletic folk. As a self-proclaimed plus-size adventurer at 110kg, Cath’s all about living life BIG in the body she has. Not only has she got the mental and physical toughness to conquer challenges, but she’s ditched the fear and embarrassment around not being ‘the best’; not always needing to excel, instead just needing to enjoy. Every woman has a story to tell. This is Cath’s.
