Kiruna Stamell

Australian actor Kiruna Stamell has had a helluva career on stage and screen over the last two decades – from her first professional role in Moulin Rouge to working with the likes of Ricky Gervais and Geoffrey Rush, and even - wait for it – the highest of honours…being a Play School presenter.   Having only recently turned forty, Kiruna openly discusses how her wants and needs differ so greatly to when she was younger. From raising the bar of her own expectations to ditching uncomfortable knickers, throwing Hollywood love lies away, re-starting tap dancing classes, and realising what others think of her body is not her ‘bag of rocks to carry’.   As person of short stature, Kiruna is a vocal advocate for disability representation and diversity, and shares honest (and enthralling) tales about her life experiences, including telling-off heckling teenagers, to having her first on-screen nude scene in her fifth decade.   Every woman has a story to tell. This is Kiruna’s.   CREDITS:   Hosts: Lise Carlaw and Sarah Wills Guests: Kiruna Stamell Instagram: @kirunastamell  CONTACT:  Email: hello@thosetwogirls.com.auInstagram: @liseandsarahFacebook: Those Two Girls  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
