This movie is a doozy. Lots to unpack. We've got Sam, Frodo, and Gollum captured by Faramir and his motley crew of guys who might also have daddy issues. Then there's Merry and Pip, galavanting with an Ent who honestly isn't convinced that they aren't actually orcs and of course Gimli, Aragorn, and Legolas trying desperately to protect the people of Rohan in a fortress that DOESN'T HAVE AN EMERGENCY EXIT? Who decided that move? Who called that shot? I need answers! We learn lots about our friends in Middle Earth in this movie. Someone is 87, and I'll give you a hint, it's not Gandalf.
