It's a Kink Thing - Kink Themes in Emigrate Lyrics

We're  on the 'Naughty List' again -- by this point we should have a standing reservation! This week's discussion explores kink-oriented references in Emigrate lyrics, and being the girls we are, we manage to find them both blatantly embedded in the lyrics ('Hypothetically' speaking) and hidden a bit more deeply (which takes us getting 'Face Down' and dirty to find). In the midst of the discussion of kink references, we talk about: domination, submission, bondage, blindfolds, discipline, the meaning of 'breaking' a sub, nurturing within a D/s relationship, new (and unusual) terms for 'sex' (yeah -- this is a new one even for us), AND... Ginger even makes a serious bet that if Richard Z. Kruspe hears this episode, she'll offer up a weekend's servitude (like the 'good' subbie she is). Just who she is offering her servitude to is up for debate -- join us to find out! Songs discussed include: My World Silent So Long My Pleasure Get Down Let Me Break Hypothetical Move It (not Emigrate -- but we are counting it) Face Down New York City Check them out on iTunes, Spotify & GooglePlay.

The Lyric Lunatics are best friends— scientists from opposite ends of the research spectrum, who show their love for each other by arguing about everything, especially rock music. Music is more than a feast for the ears, for the Lyric Lunatics it is a feast for the mind as well. Music lyrics, sci-fi, random geekery, music culture and sex...throw them together...mix with two women who overthink EVERYTHING and the result is bound to be chaos.
