Randy Farmer

A long time ago, when the internet was still an twinkle in our collective eyes, there was a dream. A dream of a game where real people could connect online. In today's episode, Alex talks to Randy Farmer, who made that dream a reality with the 1985 Commodore 64 game Habitat. The world's first MMORPG had a wonderfully winding road filled with lots of experiments along the way, and Randy is here to illuminate the path. Thanks to the efforts of Randy and The MADE, you can still play Habitat through our project, Neohabitat. Now that you have the background to the original game and its restoration project, give it a try and tell us what you think!
