66. How Navigating Awkward Conversations Help You as a Caregiver

Help the Caregiver by Navigating Awkward Conversations… If you have ever been paralyzed with social anxiety or caught off guard and unsure of what to say, then YOU are in the RIGHT place! Hillary Baggett is a Holistic Business Strategist and Consultant, Founder of the Women's Midlife Network for female entrepreneurs and business owners: women who know their purpose, have a heart to serve women 40 and Better. Inside women banish the mean girl so we can connect, collaborate, and celebrate our best years! So it was a naturally great fit to meet and interview Dr. Julie Crenshaw, a Physical Therapist and Social Skills Coach, author of Navigating & Avoiding Awkward Conversations. She teaches basic socializing, small talk skills, dealing with conflict, and difficult subjects such as illness and grief. Her mission is to empower others to feel confident in their ability to express themselves and their needs/desires more clearly, and to be able to handle difficult situations and conversations with ease. She believes that with a strong foundation of compassion, boundaries, and a healthy mindset, anyone can learn to gracefully connect with others, no matter the situation.  Hillary and Julie connected as both women entrepreneurs, but also because we are also professional therapists, occupational and physical therapy respectively. Now, Julie is focused on how to help the caregivers of the world! Helpthecaregiver julie@helpthecaregiver.com
