Adult Content on TikTok & Teaching Self Control to Children

Oct. 24th, 2022 – In this week’s episode, the ladies kick off the show with an update on the new “adult only” feature TikTok has created. How it will work & things to be aware of as a parent. What does adult-only mean to you?? It’s a good reminder to educate yourself on the new happenings in social media & discuss with your child.  They then talk about appropriateness and Lauren laughs at how that specific word has been a thing in their house from day 1. Sarah shares a recent family convo they had around the dinner table this week talking about what’s appropriate and what’s inappropriate for her kids to be sharing with (or viewing from) others. Reminding her littles of the boundaries they need to have to protect themselves. They then dive into the topic of how to teach our kids self control – and how they think it’s such a vital skill to have in today’s world. They give specific ideas like creating a cool-down spot & setting expectations. How to teach kids that actions have consequences and why it’s so important to set boundaries on most things. They then wrap it up with their hits & misses of the week. Sarah missing time with her girlfriends as life gets busier and Lauren sharing how her Caleb is taking to school!
