Today, we're bringing you an episode from our archive. A jury has found Malka Leifer guilty of rape and indecent assault, drawing a close to a trial that had been a decade in the making. The former principal of the ultra-orthodox Jewish school had been accused of sexually abusing former students in Melbourne in the early to mid-2000s. After a lengthy battle to extradite Leifer from Israel in 2021, her trial began this year. She has maintained her innocence and pleaded not guilty to all charges, including rape.
