In 1993 27 year old musician and The Gits frontwoman, Mia Zapata, left her friend’s apartment around 2AM. An hour later, her body was found. She had been murdered. The drawstrings from her own band’s sweatshirt had been used to strangle her. It would take over a decade before Mia would receive justice.
