WHY I'M AN OPTIMIST - NOT A REALIST
have you ever uttered the words 'i'm not an optimist, i'm a realist' ? why do we do that ? as if seeing things in a darker shade automatically makes it more true and real. last week, we both came to a conclusion to stop seeing things in a pessimist light, and just go with the optimistic notion that if you give something enough time, it will eventually work out. who cares if that's true - we'll have so much more fun along the way with a sunny disposition ! we talk about : – jenny's weird experience of feeling like an alien at a recent event ! – why we are optimists ! – why we are realists ! – is it better to just decide to be optimistic ? - is realism just another word for pessimism !? and of course, it wouldn’t feel like tuesday without david’s semi-funny anecdote about people we don’t know : this week david remembers the time he served drinks to the most famous hat in the world !
