The Low End Theory was released in 1991, as A Tribe Called Quest attempted to ride the wave created by their debut. Q-Tip's production, particularly his use of jazz samples and live players (including the legendary Ron Carter) along with the dynamic rhyme styles of Tip and Phife made the album instantly adored.
