EP 101: Literary Fiction and Characters - with @tete.depunk

Merry Christmas! 🎄 One of our Christmas gifts to you this year is a series of FULL podcasts we are releasing on Instagram (and on the other usual platforms)! The first podcast is about #literaryfiction and how some of these books can help us determine the voice of a character. We talk about Romantic authors like Herman Melville, Jules Verne, Soren Kierkegaard, and modern authors like Philip Roth and William Faulkner. Works discussed include: - "Moby Dick" by Melville 🐳 - "Around the World in 80 Days" by Verne - "Diary of a Seducer" by Kierkegaard - "Portnoy's Complaint," "Operation Shylock," and "The Counterlife" by Roth - "The Sound and the Fury" by Faulkner We include quotes from some of these works and talk about how we can hear the characters’ voices through these works. We also had a blast talking about why @tete.depunk didn’t like one of my faves, The Counterlife. I’ll admit, it’s an acquired taste!
