EP 129: Andrei vs Clark Kent/Superman: Similarities and Differences

Watch on YouTube! In this episode, @tete.depunk and I talk about the similarities and differences between her character, Andrei, from her novel project "70 Fierce Years," and Clark Kent/Superman!   They are both pastoral types who are motivated by a sense of duty and want to spread happiness and positivity to the people around them.   To quote Tete, "Andrei's innocence is his real tragedy and horror, very much in the vein like Clark, since both are obstinacy in their innocence and refuse to capitulate to a world that demands conformity of jadedness, apathy, and the surrender to bitterness or corruption."   We also do some comparisons between Joel vs Clark, Sam vs Clark, and Joel vs Batman. Joel is the protagonist of my graphic novel, "The Book of Joel," and he is, in many ways, the complete opposite of Andrei and Clark. He is incredibly cynical and wants to make life uglier and more boring than it actually is because he thinks emotions are unreliable and painful.   Read "The Book of Joel" here: https://tapas.io/series/The-Book-of-Joel/info
