EP 177.5: Tarot Analysis: Page of Pentacles | Minor Arcana | Financial Opportunity and Progress

Watch on YouTube. Read the transcript. This week's tarot card from the Fortunus Games tarot deck is the Page of Pentacles. It features Tom Melbourne from my graphic novel, "Sam in New York.” This card stands for financial opportunity and progress in career and life, which is a perfect fit for Tom since he goes from rural Alaska to New York City to establish an eventual career as a lawyer. For now, he's just a law student, but he's working hard to build a promising future for himself. These opportunities are represented as the grassy field and the newly plowed field behind him. The mountains behind him signify the challenges he must overcome along the way. As previously discussed in the Tower card (which also featured Tom) of the Major Arcana, Tom faces many people and events that challenge the core of his identity, his naivety, and his innocence. As for Tom himself, he's looking at the coin and examining it carefully. He may be trying to discover how he can manifest more abundance in his life. Alternatively, he may be wondering if this journey is worth it, especially since so many of his values and beliefs are being shattered...
