Day 92: A review of the Israelite journey from Egypt | Jesus feeds 5000 and reveals his death and resurrection
In Numbers 33-34, the Israelites, led by Moses, recount their long and arduous journey from Egypt to the Promised Land, marking each of their encampments along the way. As they approach their final destination, God commands Moses to distribute the land among the twelve tribes of Israel, specifying the exact boundaries and leaders for each tribe's inheritance. As they stand on the brink of claiming the land God promised to their ancestors, one wonders, will they finally enter and possess the land that has been their goal for generations? In Luke 9:10-27, Jesus feeds five thousand people with just five loaves of bread and two fish, showcasing His miraculous power to provide. Following this, Peter declares Jesus as the Christ, and Jesus foretells His death, urging His followers to take up their cross and follow Him for true life. As Jesus calls His disciples to a path of self-denial for the sake of the Gospel, one wonders, will they embrace the challenge, ready to lose their life to save it?
