I've always loved speaking in front of a group -- it's something that I'm grateful has always come naturally to me. It's exciting to get up on stage or in front of a room, look people in the eyes, and connect with them through stories or teaching or coaching. I love every minute of it!Maybe it goes back to my childhood and teenage years of being in musical theater -- I remember how it felt to come out on stage on opening night with the butterflies in my stomach, only to have them subside within minutes as all eyes fell on our production.Today, as part of my business, I get to speak in front of groups A LOT! From podcasts to summits to live video to presenting at events -- speaking is a huge part of my job. And it's a skill I've been working to hone over the past few months so I can be even better at it!That's where Heather Sager enters the picture. Last fall, as we prepared for Online Business Con 2020, I KNEW that I needed to work with a speaking coach to perfect my signature talk to open our two-day virtual conference.
