002: Minimum Viable Parenting

Along with the concept of the parenting presence, we are be discussing a parenting framework that I call MINIMUM VIABLE PARENTING. Whereas The Parenting Presence is the "space" in which parenting takes place, Minimum Viable Parenting is what gives us the core essentials and a set of guiding principles that support our parenting work.   We can think of these two concepts in terms of a recipe metaphor: the Minimum Viable Parenting is the ingredients, and The Parenting Presence is the secret sauce. All the benefits of using the MVP framework come from combining it with the “secret sauce” of The Parenting Presence, so make sure you listen to Episode 001 as well.   In this episode we explore the MINIMUM VIABLE PARENTING framework and look at the essential parallels it has with the notion of the Minimum Viable Product from the world of business. When it comes to parenting, an MVP would represent a Minimum Viable Skill-Set you need as a parent to get moving in the right direction, no matter where you are at right now.     Host: Julia Pappas, Psychologist & Parent Coach For more information and to subscribe go to http://theparentingpresence.com
