[party in my plants] 111: How to Give Less Craps about Your Pant Size. Here’s Proof That You are Way More Than Your Thighs! with Simi Botic

As part of my October of re-broadcasting some of my favorite episodes that are related to wedding stuff since I’m currently on my honeymoon in Botswana, I knew this chat would be PERFECT one to bring back from the archives. Not only is it one of the top downloaded episodes of my show, and for damn good reason, but it specifically talks about a life altering epiphany that happens ON A HONEYMOON! I know, right?!?! Told you this chat would be a perfect one. But perfect isn’t really the goal anymore because this episode is all about how my guest, Simi Botic, used to let her need for perfection actually ruin a lot of great big events in her life like her proposal (which we talk about) and her honeymoon (which we also talk about) by giving way too many craps about her body. Simi freaks out a lot less now since she broke up with perfection, and in this chat, we dive alllll the way into how she did that and what the heck breaking up with perfection even means! This isn’t an arbitrary conversion, by the way, helping give up perfectionism about their diet and exercise is exactly what Simi does for a living! In addition to being a coach, Simi wrote a magnificent, hilarious and heartfelt book called Letting Go of Leo, which is truly so good that one night I delayed watching The Bachelor to read Simi’s book in bed which is the highest compliment I could give a book so there you go Simi. I love this cozy convo and I’m pretty positive you will too!   Press play to hear:   How to let your mess become your success. How to stop focusing on being perfect all the time! Why to see failures as feedback and opportunities for growth. An argument for taking yourself to couples counseling! How to exercise your right to stop freaking out about exercise... What Mother Teresa, Sarah Silverman, and Simi have in common. A very important rule about birthday cake! And LOTS more.   Links related to this episode: The full show notes with all the deets from this episode!
