Kirsty's birthcentre birth to Archie

"If you want a different experience you have to do something different" says Kirsty about preparing for her 2nd birth. In this episode we talk through both of Kirsty's births as there is so much contrast between first baby Ollie's arrival and just a year later Archie's birth. Kirsty is a farmer and in her first pregnancy wasn't worried about birth, she felt she'd be able to just go with the flow; therefore she didn't do any preparation. She shares with us how fear and panic suddenly kicked in at the beginning of her labour and how that shaped the rest of her birth experience. In her second pregnancy she learnt tools and techniques to help her cope and we discuss so many contrasts between her two births. Archie is only 5 weeks old as we chat about Kirsty's "dream birth" she says she's still on a high from it.
