The Science of Breathing + How to Bring Yourself into Balance + Harmony

Episode 9: The breath is our most powerful tool to shift our state of being and it’s right under our nose! We breathe without even thinking about it and yet our breath impacts our physical well-being, mood, emotional regulations, nervous system, heart, and brain. Do you notice how you breathe when you are stressed or anxious? It’s fast, short, and shallow right? How about when you are calm, relaxing, drinking a cup of tea? A bit more subtle, maybe slower and down in the belly. The breath impacts our state of being, even down to which nostril we are breathing out of in this very moment. When we learn about the science of the breath and nasal cycle we can learn practices to reduce stress and anxiety, increase focus and emotional well-being, and calm the body, mind, and heart.
