LISTENER QUESTION: How To Read A Mic Frequency Chart
The mic chart! If you're looking for a new mic (or even your first) the one thing that might point you in the direction of a mic or two that's worth auditioning for your voice is the frequency response chart. But what do they show? How do you know what sound that will translate to when you get behind it? And what should you be looking for in the first place? This week, George, Robert and AP take a look at the ins and outs (or should that be ups and downs?) of mic charts, and try to arm you with the knowledge that will get you shopping for just the right gear! The Pro Audio Suite has kindly been supplied with gear from RØDE microphones. We would like to thank them for their involvement with our show, and their generosity. You can see the complete list of their gear here. @rodemic @rodemics Rode on Linkedin https://www.linkedin.com/company/rode-microphones/ If you haven't filled out our survey on what you'd like to hear on the show, you can do it here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZWT5BTD Join our Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/proaudiopodcast And the FB Group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/357898255543203 For everything else (including joining our mailing list for exclusive previews and other goodies), check out our website https://www.theproaudiosuite.com/ “When the going gets weird, the weird turn professional.” ― Hunter S Thompson
