This Artist Found Painting after a Dark Time in Life and Hasn’t Looked Back

Cuban-American painter Ernesto Maranje decided to pursue painting at the age of 28 after one of the lowest periods of his life. 6 years later he uses color and community to create the multi-layered murals that celebrate beauty in nature.  I’ve been holding onto this story since March and watched it again to be inspired. Ernesto so graciously shared with us his purpose story originally as a part of a keynote I gave about building trust with communities we are not a part of.  Creating with those we are trying to serve is one way to build trust.
