Should senior stylists pay to have an assistant?

This question was recently sent to me by the owner of a multi-location salon company. Most salon owners want to hire out of school but struggle to figure out how to afford it. There is also fear around "what if they leave after we invest all this time and money." In an effort to afford to hire more or increase dismal profit margins, some coaches advocate for senior stylists to pay for all or part of the assistant's hourly wage when they use them. Here is another way to look at it. Happy listening! Thank you for helping us spread this message. We canNOT do this without you!
