‘Escalation of months of hateful rhetoric’: Armed protesters at Michigan secretary of state's home

Dozens of armed people gathered outside Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson's home over the weekend, threatening violence in an effort to overturn the presidential election results in the state. Benson says, “This is the escalation of the months of hateful rhetoric and combined with the efforts to misinform the public about the reality of the election, which was incredibly safe and secure."
