Report alleges Mark Meadows is far more responsible for the Big Lie than previously known

Joy Reid leads this episode of The ReidOut with the intensifying scrutiny on Donald Trump’s former chief of staff Mark Meadows as he awaits potential charges of criminal contempt. There are now new reports alleging that he is far more responsible for the Big Lie than was previously known. Then, we discuss facing a winter tsunami of the delta and omicron variants. The Centers for Disease control is warning that deaths in the United States will soar by 73 percent, or more than fifteen-thousand a week. Next, President Biden is calling for the Senate to get moving on two big planks of his agenda. In a statement on Thursday he said "we must" pass the Build Back Better social spending bill, and added that "we must also press forward on voting rights legislation... As quickly as possible." Sen. Amy Klobuchar joins The ReidOut to discuss. Finally, in Thursday's edition of "The Absolute Worst," Joy slams the hypocrisy of the Republicans who are taking the funding made possible by Democratic legislation, which they had condemned as handouts, apparently to improve their re-election prospects. All this and much more in this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.
