The threat to democracy is not over

Democrats and those who care about democracy are breathing a sigh of relief after every election-denying candidate who would have had power over elections in a swing state lost, or in Kari Lake's case, is apparently on her way to losing her election. This is good news for 2024, because Republicans who have signalled a willingness to do so, will not be able to steal the election by ignoring the votes and handing the electoral college over to their side. But the threat to democracy is not over. Democratic U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy joins Joy Reid on the legislative battles over progressive policies that could take place in Congress as the midterms vote count continues. All this and more in this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.
