This week, Jacki and Lyle discuss something which, as Lyle mentions very early on, the duo have flirted with discussing for some time now. Namely - the broadcasting enigma that is GB News, and the rise of new, somewhat provocative broadcasting platforms. In an incredibly interesting episode, Jacki discusses how, for all the controversy surrounding it, GB News is a station that she has admiration for due to their success in getting their messaging and branding absolutely spot on. Lyle analyses how the likes of GB News, Talk TV, and LBC on the radio have been able to attract the big names they have over the last few years - including the likes of Eamonn Holmes, Nigel Farage, Andrew Neil and more - citing a possible desire to leave the heavy moderation and increasing fragility of the likes of the BBC and ITV.
