This week, Jacki and Lyle are joined by the absolutely phenomenal Esther Stanhope, otherwise known as The Impact Guru. Esther is a keynote speaker, and the award-winning author of the incredible 'Goodbye Glossophobia: Banish Your Fear Of Public Speaking', as well as an experienced BBC broadcaster & founder The 80% Perfect Club. She is known throughout The City as The Impact Guru, a phrase coined by Deloitte when she worked with them previously. As the Impact Guru, Esther has helped FTSE 100 Firms make an impact, win pitches, and perfect the art of public speaking and networking. In an informative and, quite frankly, extremely uplifting episode, Esther discusses her own confidence journey, and how she came to establish The 80% Perfect Club, a confidence coaching program which has been utilised by a number of high profile organisations, in January 2022. She analyses how her performing arts studies, something she shares with both Jacki and Lyle, have informed the work she does today, including how she always preferred to be the director rather than the actor when studying herself! Esther gives Jacki some tips for her upcoming wedding speech, which leads to a superb anecdote from Jacki about her lovely soon-to-be husband, and Lyle asks Esther about her experiences working with the likes of Vanessa Feltz, Alastair Campbell, and even Boris Johnson while working for the BBC!
