Aaron McGill LOVES his job.
McGill grew up in Western Kentucky where, around age 10, his parents recognized his need for a different type of education. They presented him with the opportunity to apprentice as a tailor under his mother.
McGill’s parents have since passed away, but the business remains their legacy.
“Being a tailor is one of the most rewarding things I’ve experienced. With our roots firmly planted in the rich soil that is the ever evolving city of Nashville, we are a small business with large aspirations.
Unlike other ownership stories, mine is a bit unique. I’ve never held another job and never punched a clock for anyone. I’ve done nothing but sew since I was in my single digits”, says McGIll.
The McGills started off making costumes for Egyptian show horses and their riders, and eventually began working with Louise Mandrell, outfitting her for her for the stage. This ultimately led to working with other country music artists including Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, and Jason Aldean.
In 2018, McGill launched a line of custom clothing designed to compete with other made-to-measure companies in Nashville. Made-to-measure garments derive from patterns altered to fit your own measurements.
