Mark Topps - Learning To Lead With Your Values

Today's interview is with Mark Topps, the registered manager at Little Wakering House in Essex. The home supports adults with learning difficulties and mental health needs. In this episode we discuss how you never stop learning, and how Mark has managed to fit in lots of leadership training, inspired by the poor leadership he witnessed at the start of his journey in care. He also shares his tips on managing work life balance for his team. Mark is also responsible for leading a petition which hit the headlines last Christmas, after Iceland's advert featuring an orangutan was banned for being deemed political. Mark shares why this struck a chord with him and what happened after he decided to do something about it.
