The Journey of Biking 11,389 Miles Solo Around The United States With Matt Welch

LIKE | SUBSCRIBE | SHARE (: In episode forty-six of The Running Effect (with Dominic Schlueter), I speak with Matt Welch. In this episode, we go through his incredible journey across the US. During this incredible trip, Matt traveled 11,389 miles over 185 days (72 miles per day on average when riding). He spent 97 of those days sleeping in his tent which was usually on the side of a road. Perhaps my favorite statistic is that he consumed 15 jars of peanut butter during the trip. We do a deep dive into this incredible trip. All the ups and downs and everything in-between! It was truly incredible to hear about this experience so I hope you come away a little more inspired to chase after that big goal you've always dreamed about chasing. Om Podcasten

The Running Effect Podcast aims to bring storytelling to the sport of running. What gets people invested in a sport, movie, or book? A good story. Our sport has plenty, but no one is telling them. The Running Effect is changing that. Through our podcast episodes that release every other day, we tell the stories of those at every level of our sport. Through these incredible athletes' stories, we hope it'll inspire you to turn your "what ifs?" into realities. You can also follow us on Instagram @therunningeffect to stay up to date on all current and upcoming projects!
