It's unique in its knowledge sharing and the closeness of the community and heap of other good things. It's also unique in some of the mudslinging that goes on. I remember a prominent non-SEO who carefully followed the community being astounded at how aggressive SEOs can be towards each other. It's a real problem at times and it's a stain on the community overall (like it or not). That's why having an open conversation about this topic is really important and it's why the idea of supporting each other and collaborating with each other is more important than ever.
