560: How Your Thoughts Lead To Action (and Inaction)

You have anywhere from 6,000-60,000 thoughts per day, depending on which research study you trust most.  Let’s just take the low estimate of 6,000 thoughts per day and consider the impact of that many thoughts on the course of your day. We know that our thoughts determine our feelings & emotions which then determine our actions.  Therefore, at least 6,000 times per day, you have a thought that makes you take action - or not. Some of our thoughts make us brave and bold. They give us permission to take courageous action and then we bask in the glory of proving our strength and power.  Other thoughts make us take rash action - sometimes causing harm to ourselves or others. This can send us into a downward spiral of negative follow up thoughts: What was I thinking? I can’t believe I was so stupid. I’m so embarrassed. I am completely ashamed.  And other thoughts make us freeze. We decide that we aren’t ready or qualified to be courageous. Not yet. Not today. New awareness of your 6,000 - 60,000 thoughts per day might feel overwhelming, if not downright daunting. But, here’s the thing… You are 100% capable of becoming a better thought manager. This means you can manage your thoughts in order to manage your actions. YAY.  Listen in to hear how your thoughts determine your actions and how you can become a better thought manager starting right now.
