#006 - What's Your Core Skill?

Everyone has a core skill.  It's what you mostly do to bring in the cash and put food on the table and a roof over your head.  Many other people are also good at that one core skill that you have.  What do you need to do, learn or acquire move yourself up into the top 20% or top 10% or even the top 1% in the world? Take a look at your profession and project forward by 3 years.  What will your profession look like?  Will it be affected by artificial intelligence. Is new software making your role redundant.  Could a robot replace you? Look around at your co-workers.  Who do you think the company would keep?  Who would they fire?  What roles will be made redundant? What are you going to do to make sure that you are not in the next lay-off? In future podcasts we will be interviewing many different people from different sectors and asking them for their views of the future. You will hear from doctors, dentists, chiropractors, truck drivers, train drivers, policemen, property developers, social media coaches and trainers.
