Living with Lymphedema w/ Nicole Faccio
This week I’m talking to the lovely Nicole Faccio! Nicole was born with a condition called congenital primary lymphedema - the swelling of parts of the body due to a failure in the development and/or function of the lymphatic system. I came across Nicole on Instagram after seeing some of her posts raising awareness for lymphedema and living with chronic illness. Her story is fascinating and inspiring - she has swelling almost everywhere in her body, lymphatic abnormalities in her organs and a collapsed lung due to fluid build-up. She also has a podcast, called Normal Adjustments, that highlights stories of people that have gone through a unique journey that forced them to live life differently from what society has deemed 'normal'.
