This week I’m talking to Bex Band! Bex is an adventurer, conservationist and founder of the UK’s largest women’s adventure community, Love Her Wild. In 2016, desperate for a drastic change in her life, Bex decided to walk the 1,000km length of Israel with her husband. Having never done anything like it before, the experience changed her life, giving her confidence and self-esteem. Since then she has made adventuring her full time career - She has kick-scooted the length of the USA as well as crossed the Jordan desert! Bex launched Love Her Wild in 2017 to provide support and opportunities for women in adventure. Now with over 11,000 members, Love Her Wild has taken over 1,000 women on life changing expeditions around the world. As well as having an online forum, the community runs a mentoring program and funding schemes to break down financial and social barriers holding women back from getting outdoors.
