Journalist and author Ian Williams talks to Eamon. As a journalist Ian Williams was foreign correspondent for Channel 4 News and NBC in Moscow, the Indo-Pacific and China. He has also covered conflicts in the Balkans, the Middle East and Ukraine. Ian won an Emmy and BAFTA awards for his discovery and reporting on the Serb detention camps during the war in Bosnia. His latest book,  VAMPIRE STATE - THE RISE AND FALL OF THE CHINESE ECONOMY, will be released in September.Recorded on Thursday 27th June 2024.
