Episode 34: How To Be Feminist With a Little 'f', with Lisa Smosarski
Todays guest is Lisa Smosarski, the editor-in-chief of the award-winning women’s weekly Stylist Magazine (https://www.stylist.co.uk). Launched in September 2009, Stylist is the first freemium magazine for women. As editor she has seen Stylist win more than 50 industry awards, and now oversees all of Stylists platforms, including digital and video. Previously Lisa had been editor of more!, Bliss and Smash Hits. She has had an incredible career in media and is so inspirational, with quite possibly the coolest job. She has been with Stylist since the beginning and her passion shines through. I was so very lucky to manage to sneak some time from her and, as a huge fan of Stylist magazine, I was completely in awe of their headquarters. What I love about Stylist is that they manage to hold their feminist values true whilst feeling very relatable and current. I hope this podcast helps any budding journalists out there, although you have very little chance of getting Lisa’s job, she’s going nowhere.
