S4 Ep3: Tactical medicine and working within austere environments w/ Matt Pepper

This week we have a chat with Matt Pepper about tactical medicine and working within austere environments. Matt is a NSW intensive care and special operations team paramedic, president of the Australian Tactical Medicine Association, worked in the Australian Army, jointly created the Tactical Medical Operations capability in NSWAS and is a Clinical Training Officer for Tacmed Australia.  Paramedics can find themselves working in situations such as natural disasters, cases by water/height etc. and be the first on scene for many dangerous situations. We discuss the principles of tactical medicine and how they can be applied in an everyday situation on road.  DISCLAIMER: All of the opinions of each individual on 'The Student Paramedic Podcast' are their own.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
