She is the founder and head of the Data-Driven EnviroLab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She holds a PhD and is an Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Environment, Energy and Ecology at UNC-Chapel Hill. Her research interests include data-driven environmental policy, urbanization, climate change, and development, with a focus on China.
