R. Rocco Cottone, Ph.D. is a professor of counseling and family therapy in the Department of Education Sciences and Professional Programs at the University of Missouri—St. Louis. Dr. Cottone is a fellow of the American Counseling Association. He has published over 80 articles and book chapters and five books on topics related to professional counseling and psychotherapy. He is best known for his works on rehabilitation theory, social systems theory, radical social constructivism, and professional ethics in counseling. He is a licensed professional counselor, a licensed psychologist, and a certified family therapist.
